John Everman, counselor in the 1980s, has discovered a cool Camp Waupaca enhancement to your cell phone. As a courtesy to John and our alumni, we are passing this on to our members. John can be reached via email at: John@Everman.net I've been playing around with my cell phone (a Nokia), and have a nifty gizmo for CW alumni: The Camp Waupaca Song Ring Tone! That's right -- why settle for "Samba" or "City Bird" when you can think about the summers of your youth every time the phone rings? All you need to do is e-mail each of the following three lines to your cell phone. (Many cell phones have free messaging these days.) One catch: it will only work with Nokia phones. //SCKL15811581010301024A3A6D0D85B5C15D85D5C1858D8404007710CAE8310350390491620E30D30E30D40C40C31242 //SCKL1581158101030288310350390491620E3124584984E0835034C490A20D40CC0D4124D8458838C34C491820C40C31 //SCKL15811581010303 2460831030C3483884914000 You send each line, without breaks or interruptions, to your Nokia cell phone, one line per e-mail. When it arrives at your phone, you'll be presented a menu where you can listen to the tune, save it or delete it. If you press the clear key, that's the same as deleting the tune. For alumni with different phones, here's the song in the "universal" RTTTL format:
With software available on the internet, the ring tone can be easily converted to almost any telephone's format.
