Thanks for stopping on this page.  Here you will find all sorts of miscellaneous "stuff" that doesn't really fit anywhere else.  We also include some things that you WILL find elsewhere, but won't have to hunt for it.  If you have anything that you think fits into the "miscellaneous" category, send it our way!  In the meantime, have fun here.

What people in Waupaca won't do for their beer! Our thanks to Paul Ringel who saw this note in the Chicago Sun-Times on November 22, 2007. CLICK HERE to read the article.

At the reunion in 2006, Paul Warshauer attempted a feat of skill that should not be attempted at home. He swam to the raft while smoking a cigar and drinking a glass of beer! Some unknown Waupaca camper made a video of this historic, record breaking feat. Note: the video starts out as a "Fear Factor" episode, so let it play! We'd like to recognize the videographer, so if this is your work, let us know!

Erv Kasian.  If you were at camp any time between 1970 and 1979, this name evokes vivid images of a toothless character who lived in the craft shop.  CLICK HERE to read an amusing story about this one-of-a-kind Camp Waupaca counselor!

Did you know that Camp Waupaca was home to its' own musical group?  That's right, in 1962 THE RAMBLERS had a gig at the old Windmill Restaurant & Bar in Waupaca!  None other than Herb Beller, Barry Shanoff, and Al Steigerwald performed to a full house.  Local radio advertisement provided much excitement for campers lucky enough to have a radio tuned into radio station WDUX.  Click on the link to see more information.  Hey, maybe if we cajole these 3 fine Camp Waupaca alumni they will perform THIS summer at the CLEARWATER HARBOR. This year, the Clearwater Harbor opens on April 17.

Speaking of Herb Beller, Herb has written an amazing retrospective on his many years at camp. It's a wonderful read. CLICK HERE to see Herb's remarks.
